I just registered and thought I should follow protocols and introduce myself here before posting anywhere else.

The books I have read are:
Carrie
'Salem's Lot (just finished it last week)
The Green Mile (my profile picture at the moment is supposed to be Percy Wetmore)
Cell (the first SK novel I read)
Lisey's Story (which I could not finish years ago, but love now that I am older)
Duma Key
Doctor Sleep
Full Dark, No Stars (except A Good Marriage, which I should read soon)
Just After Sunset

I also own Blaze, The Wind Through The Keyhole and The Talisman. I am not sure if I should read The Wind before I get The Dark Tower, though... Even though I read Doctor Sleep without having read The Shining, I had seen the TV mini series, which gave me a good idea of many things that happened to Danny.

Whenever I go to the book store (or any store that happens to sell books), I look for SK's books I may be missing. I definitely want to read as many of his books as I can, since I find the way he handles characters very appealing and entertaining.

That is all I can think of for the moment. I guess you will be getting to know me a little better with time.

Thanks! The problem is that I have not read, nor do I own, any of the DT books. That is the same reason why I have not read the comic book adaptations (even though I bought them the month they were released).

So, it would be sensitive to wait until I have read the series (at least up to book 4), correct? I can do that. I just have to hunt those books down now. :encouragement:

Got it! :dbl:

Hello, not Nadine. Seeing your picture reminded me of something important about me in relation to SK stories.

I have loved The Stand (TV mini series) since I watched it as a teen. I have not read the book (I really, really want to), though.

I know some people do not like the adaptation. Being in the position where I do not know the source material I have to say the TV series is great. It has remained in my memory for years (I own it on DVD now). I am pretty certain that the book will be infinitely better, but that is the case with most, if not all, adaptations, so I am used to it. It does not make me love them any less.

Especially with very long books, it is impossible to keep everything when adapting them, sadly...

I have a question for the admins.

I am working on an Abra Stone pic. Now, when it is finished and I want to share it here, should it go to the Self Promotion forum or could I create a "César's Doctor Sleep fan art" thread in the Doctor Sleep forums (to be used for any future DS pics I draw, as well)?

I think our Gallery XIX area might be the best place for your artwork. It may take a couple of days for photo approval, but once your pictures are online, you can post a link (with description) to them in this thread.
