Hi everyone! Long time Stephen King fan!

Favorite books...very tough decision. Definitely big fan of the Dark Tower series, but when I was younger my favorites were Pet Sematary, IT and the Stand. I also was a fan of the Bachman books.

I have a rather large hard cover collection of SK books, all in brodart protectors and really great condition despite several moves throughout my life. Many first editions, but some from the DoubleDay book club days. Why the book club editions? Well, back when I was a kid and had no way to drive to a bookstore it was the only way for me to get King books every month. lol

I recently discovered that I am missing some key books in my collection (very sad cause I know I had some of these in my collection when I was young) and have been thinking about joining StephenKingLibrary to round out my collection. Can anyone comment on the quality of their selection? Worth joining?

I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Thanks.

Welcome - stick around and enjoy the many threads

I am currently re-reading The Shining - I found a used copy at the local book exchange, as I forgot my copy at home.

Not a member of the Stephen King Library, so cannot comment on the books - I buy most of mine second hand at Value Village, apart from the new releases.

Hello and Welcome to SK Land.

Not a member of SK Library so I cannot help you there. Many of my books are from used book stores and of course VV Boutique(Value Village) as it is
called where I live. There are some very good used book sites as well that with coaxing from GNTLGNT I have been using and very happy with them.

Enjoy the MB, they are a great group with so much knowledge (and fun too).

...The Stephen King Library has never let me down with the quality of their books, and every once in a while-I've ended up with a First Edition!...my only quibble is the slowness of delivery...they average about 7-10 days behind making an in-store purchase....the savings of a few bucks is nice though....

Thanks for the info. Are the books significantly smaller in size to originals bought in stores?

After my recent move, I unpacked all my books and discovered I have two copies of Dark Tower II. Not sure if either are first editions, but they are exact same size as the rest of the series.
