Thanks for the info. Are the books significantly smaller in size to originals bought in stores?

After my recent move, I unpacked all my books and discovered I have two copies of Dark Tower II. Not sure if either are first editions, but they are exact same size as the rest of the series.
...I have noticed no size change at all-they are directly from the publisher best I can tell...and I have seen copies in stores before and after I receive mine-and there is no discernible dissimilarity....

Oh, also does anyone know if DoubleDay book club is worth using? Honestly getting a hardcover edition of Pet Semetary is the only real interest for me with them.

Welcome to SKMB ... going thru thrift stores you can luck up and find good SK books. I also use amazon and abe's . Good luck with finishing out your library. I am still working on mine. It is odd how you know you had certain books and they disappear.. isn't it? grrrrr

I know! A year ago my mother found a whole box of SK books of mine in the basement and shipped them out to me. But there are still several that I know I used to have. Many were BCE from DoubleDay but I know there were also several first editions that were bought at bookstores back when I was young. I also keep my books in brodart mylar protectors, so most of my collection is still in pretty great shape.

I am not such a diehard collector that I "need" first editions. It's more about just having a complete and good collection of SK's work.

So does anyone know how long StephenKingLibrary takes? I decided to join and ordered from them, but it has been a couple days and just still says processing.
