I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to participate here. I've been reading Stephen King ever since I was 11, and his books were a huge reason I made it out of my David Copperfield-esque childhood sane and intact. I finally got the chance to meet him this weekend in Austin at the Revival signing event.

I've been following this message board--and really all things King--for a long time, but for some reason have never jumped in. So...hello everyone!

Heya! I'm new here, too, and have been reading King since I was around that age, as well. I was 11 or 12 when I borrowed a friend's copy of Night Shift and read "The Boogeyman." My brain melted a little on that night. By the time I was 15, it was all King all the time for this boy. And yeah, his work played a big part in getting me through lousy times.

Welcome!
