Hi, did Stephen King struggle to write when he was younger because he had children? I read somewhere that he used to get angry with them. Is it because they used to in the way of his writing? I'm experiencing a similar problem.
He managed to write the book "Carrie" while living in a rented home with his wife and two children back in 1974. His last child was born in 1978 and by then he had written The Stand and The Shining as well a book under the name of Richard Bachman and lots of short stories as well.

Sorry to hear your kids are getting in the way of your writing - maybe go to a local library for some peace and quiet?

Welcome to the SKMB :)

I have been reading the book on writing by stephen king. It says something in there about making your own personal space with no distractions. I think he said he used a closet at some or made a joke about it.

the crazies in here recommended that book and they were right. Right FLAKE?
