Welcome Kevin.
Hi and welcome and congrats on the graduation. Good luck on the exams.
Talisman is an excellent choice and follow it with Back House!
Talisman right here and now, great books and kept me out of trouble for a couple weeks.

Hi Kev. Welcome and good luck on your exams. I recommend the short story collections.
Skeleton Crew, Night Shift, Everything Eventual, Just After Sunset, Full Dark/No Stars, and novelette ones are pretty good (Nightmare Dreamscapes is a good one to chew on for a while. It is really thick)

Then there are the Dark Tower books, but really any of Sai King's work is great. (Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, Wastelands, Wizard and Glass (Personal favorite), Wolves of Calla, Song of Susannah, and the Dark Tower)

Thank you, everyone; I feel so welcome!
I am familiar with the iconic actor Clint Eastwood but I have never been told that I have "Clint Eastwood hands," or is that some reference to a Stephen King story I have yet to read?
Yes, nursing boards of course are my top priority. I can only study for so long before I lose my focus though, so I read for fun in between. I read my NCLEX prep book about 2 hours per day except on weekends when I relax, read, play my ukulele and sometimes an online role-playing game I have been into since 2000. I also take practice tests through Kaplan which was included with my tuition. I am grateful for the advice and encouragement! Also, congratz on passing the NCLEX with so few questions, GNTLGNT that's awesome! I am planning to take a long test. I wasn't the best nursing student; I probably should have stayed on my ADD meds while in nursing school but I felt like I was trading sleep for focus, it wasn't awesome. My practice tests are geared to include endurance building--past test scores indicate I start experiencing "test taking fatigue" around 50 or so questions. If I end up answering fewer questions, I can be pleasantly surprised :)
I was told that it is better to read the Dark Tower series after I have many of his stories under my belt because there are so many references to previous works.
After all of the praise for The Talisman, how can I not read it now? I downloaded it on Saturday, and I am already 30% into it. I suspect a lot of video games (The Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past, and Tales of Symphonia for instance) have borrowed from this story.
You guys seem really nice!
