I know I am trying to acquire more and more signed copies but they are very hard to find and very expensive..... Sometimes I come across some really cool things at an antique shop by my house like a just got a first edition copy of the shining with the dust jacket for $6 the DJ is not in the best condition but hey can't win them all!!
Nice! I'm not a serious collector, and I do mean some of these people are SERIOUS, I just want to have all of his books, preferably hardcover unless they don't come that way. I've had some for many years and DJ's are ripped. My Creepshow is so beat up looking. I think they have character. I'm good with two signed books and don't need any more. Unless he does a signing in Bangor I probably wouldn't do another one but am happy I went to Portland! Happy for you too!

My name is Jarid I am from MA and I actually recently just attended my very first book signing for Mr. King in South Portland, ME. I was very upset to see on EBAY recently that people are already trying to make a profit on their copies. As was the case in Portland that a lot of TRUE King fans missed out on a great life changing moment to meet the man himself because these people wanted to make a extra buck...... However beyond that little rant I am excited to join the forum and cannot wait to get involved in all of the conversations....
Welcome Jarid - yes I agree - to think people got in to see him just to get a lucrative signature and turn a profit - it is a d*mn shame!:m_cash:

Welcome. If it helps any just remember everything you obtain will be dust in a few thousand years at most. Oh wait. That doesn't help does it?

'Needful Things' sort of plays with that concept. The things we want are just things. Stories live forever. Make lots. Then tell them to me.
