I have always been a king fan. even wheni wasn't allowed to read his material. i grew up in a strict christian home horror wasn't allowed but i always wanted to be a writer and he us who i looked up to as the best writerof all the different books I've read. as i grew up and had children they too luke his work . i also own a lot of movies actually multiples since my kids watch them too and they get scratched. i have gine to collage obce i git taken out of work due to disabilities and got very high grades professirs telling me i write very well. but i know id never be even close to kings work so I've never-ending persued it. i would love to meet him just once and talk about writting

If the only people who pursued writing, whether for fun or for a profession, were those who were even in the same ballpark as King, bookstores would be practically empty. If writing brings you pleasure and enjoyment, go for it. I have to believe Sai King would agree. Read his book On Writing. It's got a lot of great motivation/inspiration/instruction for writers of all levels.

Absolutely agree. Go for it. A good word processing program, with spell checking, will make the task a little easier, when you're starting out. Much better than the good old days of electric typewriters, or I am dating myself by saying that?

No you are not - but do you recall the days before typewriters had electric cords??

Yes, and I used one of those. It was actually not bad; The keys were kind of counter-balanced. I am still impressed that people were able to compose such great works on those manual machines. Just think what the scribes of old would have given for one of those. Of course, finding a ribbon in ancient Greece or Rome would have been difficult...
