I am S, or Kingfisher.

My favorite hobbies; Reading (Stephen King, Poppy Z Brite, Neil Gaiman). Aquaria. Writing. Travel.

I prefer the heady, raw seediness of Brite compared to the rusty folkiness of King. They are both fantastic in the end however.

I earn my living writing erotica.

That is all. I hope to speak to all of you soon.

Brite does seem crude at times. His work often treats the characters with the fraility that life affords. Characters are rarely made to be martyd in death; There are no poetic last words.

Scatological endorsements in his literature aside, it has a ripe sense of poetic craftiness that can be grating or delightful. It is to the reader to decide, I'd think.

It is nice of all of you to post in my thread. Thank you.
