Hewwo all you boys and girls.

I'd like to start a monthly podcast dealing with, and ONLY with, SK books.

I would prefer it happens twice a month that deals with his books in chronological order, as pertains ONLY to his date of first publication.

I understand that there there will likely come confusion here and there due to Things like "The Bachman Books, his compilations, etc,.

Hashing those details (IMO will come in due course as we'll get to to them as we feel appropriateI but I'd like to have at least one podcast done per month to start then ramping up to once every other week.

While being dealing primarily with the written portion of his works, there is literally no reason why touching on the films and made-for-tv adaptations thereof.

In fact, what I'd like to do is after the books are completed, to go through said film and tv specials one-by-one until all of those are completed as well.

What I am specifically looking for is someone that is willing to co-host every single podcast done. I would also like a rotating host come in to discuss what their favorite books, film whatever, just so long at the publication dates are kept in chronological order.

First and foremost, I need to cast my co host that will be there in every single way possible.

What this would mean for that particular co-host to be able to read his works on a strict timetable in order to ensure that the main draw (Being the novels and books of novellas and short stories) are our first priority. And once we're done with those, we'll move on to the full-scale Hollywood films, then finally on the the made-for-TV films and one-offs.)

"Guest stars" would ALWAYS be welcome, but out main thrust will always be the core two casters.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

A High-Quality Microphone. Not a headset microphone but a full on, professional microphone (Think Yeti or better), a decent quality web cam of some sort or another (Laptop cameras are fine for Skype or a close approximation) And, of course, a copy of every King Book imaginable. (The Skype camera would be used for meeting of the minds and productions should se want to conduct a pod that way.

The SK and Maine Site should have everything title imaginable.

Also, I would like to have a written review of every book publishable to post BEFORE EACH PODCAST, so that we can compare and contrast on air about when we feel the differences are.

And 2 last things.

1) If these podcasts produce profits in one way or the other (I plan on seeing about linking all works to an (amazon/audible) linked directly to their side to make the purchasing of said material via a partnership through said sites and all profits will be splits 60-40 with out variance unless we have a guest special on which would them create a 40-30-30 split, if that is acceptable. The 20 precent on the top I take will be only used to upgrade equipment or to secure guest hosts.

If this sounds anything at a'' whateoever, pease email me at hedlesschickn [at] gmail [dot] com

I have not come up with a title for the broadcast, but I DO have a domain registered and readly to go.

I'm like to have 3-4 podcasts ready to go before going completely live i order to have a bit of a buffer in case life butts in and we have a couple of back ups to rely on.

Once we're gone through the entire SK library, incl film, etc, we can move on to other horror novelists, genre, etc.

And I'm won't be so difficult as to restrict to to only those 2 genres.

It's a start, and I am looking to hear from you!

If you're not comfortable with sending an email to start with, Leaving a message here on SKMB will suffice for now, but if/when things start to heat up, and more directly, non-public plans need to be laid, either email or another communications device may very well necessary.

ALSO, I am also more than happy to hear suggestions, so please feel free to send me a note.

(And no, I do not have a working name fpr the podcast as of yet as I am waiting to see who would like to be a cohost and I am hoping to come up with something clever in that regard.)

Thanks for listening, and I hope we can get this off the ground.

....that is going to require a hell of a time investment.....I have the experience from my lengthy stay in broadcast, but sadly not the minutes you need....I wish you well with this endeavor.....

If you find a way to make money from podcasting, hope you are willing to share the secret. Fan podcasts are a labour of love and in my experience the money flows from you to the podcast. Not the other way around.

I'd do rotating hosting. I've got a perspective on the books that might be novel to listeners. I don't think I have a stable enough personality to be a permanent host. I'd be the eccentric bit host kind of role. And I don't have a professional microphone but I've been thinking of getting one for a while. If this takes off I'm really welcome to the idea of helping out because I love talking about this stuff. Especially: interpretations.
