Can you get a number programmed in and learn to just push that botton. They also have home phones with large numbers.If you have an insulin pen you can learn to listen to the clicks.

I keep meaning to ask Karen to figure out how to fix my phone like that. My husband would not have a clue about that stuff.
I do use an insulin pen, and I have had to listen to the clicks a few times, and pray that I did it right.

It has been in the low 80's the last few days. We just took the A/C's out last weekend. Go figure.
It is not to bad with the fans going, and the windows open.

Yes another one coming up the gulf. Sheesh! It cools off at night though doesn't it? Does here....we had a light frost the other morning, I almost wept!

It does cool down at night. No frost here yet. I was in slacks the other day with a sweater, and now I'm back in shorts! Next week will be low 70's.

While I have been gone, I have made friends with this native American young man. He is so funny, and just a very nice person in general. I am waiting for him to pop the question to his lady friend! His name is Keith Longhorns Jr.

I think I have got myself together again. I will not say I am sorry for anything that I said or did. I don't feel that I have to. I am not going to let some people run me away.
I was, and still am going through a tough time in my life right now.
Nothing can be done for my eyes, so I am trying my hardest to accept that.
I felt like no one but my husband understood what I was going through a few months ago. I won't go into detail about that either.
What's new in my life? Well, we had to take the cat, Oreo, back. She was just not fitting in around here. It has been 2 months, and I am fighting with the woman who runs the rescue over my refund. She has lied to me over, and over about it.
Kaden has to get glasses. He is there now picking out his frames. He had to be moved from the back of his class to the front, because he couldn\t see the blackboard.
The dog is driving us all nuts! She has chewed up the bottom of both kids beds, and she chewed up Kaden's pillow. She chases Bethy to no end. No matter how many spankings she gets. She is always into something. She has really grown since we adopted her. She goes to be spayed the end of this month, and we are hoping that may calm her down a bit.
Karen got handed a job offer, that she is going to take. She starts her new job next week. She will be working at a near by library. They wanted her because she speaks Spanish. A lady that works at the library heard her talking to someone in Spanish, and offered Karen the job.
Karen is getting run to death at the store lately. They call her all the time to come in early, and cover for whoever is not showing up for work. Plus she is working evenings, and hardly gets to see her kids.
At the library, she will be working 3 days, and off every Sunday to start with. She is liking that part of it.
Kat is sick again. She has been out of school all week. Her fever goes way up in the afternoons, and she is coughing like crazy. She has been to the doctor twice this week. Waiting now for blood test results, and x-ray results. This kid is always sick. We are hoping she will grow out of this sooner or later.
Went to a pow wow on September 10th. I could not see any of it. I was so upset, I just started crying. Karen recorded a lot of it on my phone for me, and when we got home she uploaded it, so I could watch it. It was amazing! Got to try the fry bread. OMG! That is heaven on earth!!
That is about it for now I guess. I already wrote a book!

Hi pegasus216, it's very nice to have you back and posting. I'm sorry to hear how bad the vision has become and hope that adjusting to things will get better and better, hopefully now that you've shared how difficult life with this is... people in your life will be able to support you more.

Regarding the first few lines in your initial post... please remember than unless you come to us with issues and problems, we cannot hope to help when problems arise. Leaving cryptic messages within the threads never helps and often just makes matters worse. This is why we ask people to go through the proper channels with problems, this way the MB will be a happier place for everyone.

Thanks for the Chris song! I have yet to be able to listen to a whole song by him. That was a big part of the reason I was so grumpy. I just can't accept the fact that he is gone.

Thanks, I will definetly check that out! What a sweet couple and look like they are in love . Where is that you met him? Have you ever heard of Indian Springs? People still come from afar for the healing waters there, my great great grands owned land there many years ago in tribal days (Creeks) but my great grand wasn't notified of the inheritance until it was impossible to pay back taxes owed on it and had to forfeit the land which is now a state park here in Georgia.

They have annual native festivities there which I had thought of attending in the past and to see the museum but when I google for info it would look mostly like Caucasian in the Native Indian dress, and I have family that look far more physical Native Indian feature than most I saw that were doing it there. I still plan to go down there though someday, my great great great grandmother is buried there but I don't know where.

Wow, Maddie! What a story! You need to go there! I have heard of it, but wasn't sure where it was.
I met Keith through powwows.com. His picture was there, so I searched him up on google. Found out he had a facebook page, and messaged him with some questions about pow wow, and we have been friends ever since. That man is crazy about kids, and animals! He has a pitbull, and calls himself a 'doggie daddy'. Great sense of humor. His girlfriend, Bo, and him send messages back and forth to each other on facebook. It is so cute! I really wish both of them all the best!

Didn't mean to turn this into a 'Keith' thread, but I am just proud to be a friend of his!
