I have several Stephen King novels that were left to me by a deceased loved one. I have several that I believe to be first publishings of first editions and two that state they are in fact first trade editions, my question is do these novels hold any value?

Welcome to the Board! They do have value--it's just a matter of how much and that will depend on the book and the condition it is in. :smile2: Which books do you need information about?
Carrie
The stand
Pet sematary
The shinning
Storm of the century
Misery
The dead zone
Salems lot
Skeleton crew
Fire starter
Cujo
The dark tower V
Wolves of the calla
They are all hardback in excellent condition and all have the dust jacket except for pet sematary

I don't personally have values to give you as we don't deal in the collectibles markets but there are several collectors on the Board who may be able to assist.

Hi.. and welcome to SKMB . I collect.. not for monetary value .. but because I absolutely love SK's work . I hope you read all those books and fall in love with his work as well.
I'm not sure you could call me a collector .. lol.. I keep them because I want to be able to read them over and over. I have hundreds of books from other authors I keep as well.. but only SK has his very own bookshelves . Creepy aint it???

This...I have this, too. :) There's even a picture of my SK bookshelf around here somewhere...you can see the "other side" to some extent. :) ( Sorry, don't mean to get off topic.)

Yes, I agree but I would also love to know the value of what I have due to the fact of having them insured if need be.
I'm not a collector in that I collect SK's books for monetary value, but just because I have read him since the start and love his imaginstion and writing. I have just about everything he's published as far as novels and short story collections. Some first editions and some not. Some in hardcover and others in trade or mass market paperback. That said, unless you have signed copies of the books you mentioned, I don't think your collection is worth as much as you are hoping, in $$ at least. As others have said, you should visit sites like AbeBooks and do some research. All the best to you.

Hi and welcome you nutter you.
I was given as a gift a HC copy of Carrie. I know its not a first and I don't think it's a book club either. But you got me curious about the value of some of my King editions.
