This is Tatanka Isnala, which is "Lone Buffalo" in the Lakota language. In the workshop where I made him there were 7 students, 6 elk hides and 1 buffalo. The buffalo chose me. I'm not sure I managed to insert the photo correctly, but I have used another as my avatar. You have a beautiful drum as well.

Welcome. So what kind of website do you build? I was out west this once, Wyoming and surrounding area, Devil's Tower we visited. That is a fascinating story how it came to be that large piece of land one can see for miles as one approaches. The story would later remind me of a scene in the stories about Roland and his travels. I'd picked up a copy of The Gunslinger while in a bookstore in a mall in Rapid City...read the first line, wondered what he did with this one, read the others. Also picked up another, Mitakuye Oyasin...the man who wrote it had his honeymoon at Escanaba...flat rock I think. We are north of that place...when we entered Wyoming from the north we stopped to take a picture of the man and the horse, the welcome sign...north of Cody. A man stopped. He took our photo. He was from the U.P. though he lived in Colorado now. Such a small world.
As long as you quote him for the lines, that shouldn't be a problem as I believe it would fall into the fair usage category for that small an amount.
