Were you babysitting?

(Welcome back!)
Not this time. Have been going through a remodel so that I can have a bigger space to do my craft hobbies and was working on that--finally emptying out the space completely so I could paint on Sunday and install new flooring yesterday. When they say you can install a room in 3-4 hours, they apparently weren't thinking of one that is 24' x 32'. A fact I needed to remind myself of when after 10 hours, I still wasn't at the halfway mark yesterday. :wink2: It didn't help that after getting 3 rows in, I decided I needed to redo it as I'd finally gotten the knack of how to angle the planks so they fit together better and didn't want to leave the ones that weren't done right.

all hardwood in our home! good for kids and pets.:barf::dog: lmao
I went with a premium vinyl wood-look instead of hardwood for this space as some of my hobbies involve using water and/or can get messy and this is waterproof. They've come a long way with looking more like the real thing and the price was a lot more friendly to my budget. :smile2:

You need a handyman

(I know a nice Albanian guy who'll do it, but he's not cheap!)

I grew up with real hard hardwood floors. My mother said I cracked my head so many times she was sure I was going to end up with brain damage. I told her it must not have been so hard because it didn’t knock any senses into me. :)

My nephew used to install flooring and I helped him out on occasion when he did work for family and friends. Carpet installation is boring. I don’t like laying down hardwood because I can never get it to fit perfectly, but I do enjoy setting down tile. Schmutz, spacers, tile, and grout... easy peasy lemon squeezy. :p

Wish I lived closer to you, Marsha, I would have loved to help you with that stuff. I love doing things like this.
