I play in a live action role playing game. After several sideways comments about how much my char (a vampire with heavy occult/mafia ties) adores his car (he has had her for nearly 100 years and has happily offered to maim over any possible damage to her), my friend and I looked at each other and stated Christine. Now here is where it gets tricky.
A: I have to convince my storyteller to let me build the car in the system.
B: I also have to avoid plagiarism b/c inspired not stolen. Stealing IP is bad.

The car is currently a 1929 Stutz that we would either get haunted or Insert model here and have the car itself be a ghost. Any thoughts?

Reminds me of a bumper sticker applied to the rear window a pickup...saw it the other day lined up wanting to cross the bridge..."silly boys, trucks are for girls." Isn't it a universal that guys and cars (trucks are for girls) go together and if some Moochie poops on the dash all bets are off? Never did get a good look (in the rearview) at who was driving the truck...the sun gets in your eyes.

The name of the car would likely be dependent on the method by which it is obtained, if I get his current car haunted then it will be the ghost's name. If I acquired a wraith car then depends on the model of car I end up with.

In general, Stephen doesn't allow others to use characters and locations he created in their own work. In a case like this where you're doing it for your own personal pleasure and not promoting it for monetary value, though, it's unlikely Stephen would have his lawyers prepare a cease and desist letter if you named it Christine.

...cool gig, but I'm not sure I get the gist of what you're asking...you want to name a Stutz "Christine"?.....
I wasn't sure either. But if I put all the posts together I think the dude just wants to name a haunted car. Doesn't really have anything to do with SK, does it, since he is certainly not the first one to come up with the idea. After all, there was the TV show back in the 60s about a haunted car called My Mother the Car. :watermelon:
