No, I dress more like Neil Young but love many things musically. Hell, I started wearing black socks with shorts when I was 18 or so.

I always felt Kiss got a raw deal as they wrote some great rock radio songs.
Me too. (The music thing, not the socks thing. I still wouldn’t be caught dead with black socks and shorts).

Never really been a big KISS fan though but always liked Def Leppard.

We have a small local venue here that has some fantastic concerts. Later this month they’ve got John Hiatt and Robert Cray on 7/15, B.B. King on 7/18, Ted Nugent on 7/23, Ziggy Marley on 7/31. But I can’t get anyone to go with me, even though they sell booze with the music. I must be too freakin’ old. :(

Robert Cray and BB King would be awesome. I am kinda over Ted Nugent. Nothing to do with his politics, just not that impressed with him live. Reggae is not my thing really. I respect it, will listen, but a whole concert makes me feel like I need a nap.

Black socks with shorts is liberating to the soul. Especially if you pull the socks up as high as you can...

Oh Gawd... my eyes were inexplicably drawn to the black socks/shorts thing and the rest of your post was just gone.

LOL. I’d see Nugent just for his politics. Also, 3 Doors Down Acoustic with Amy LaVere is playing on 7/24.

Later in the year Great White and Vixen will be playing, The Zombies, Winger and Firehouse, Ana Popovic, Tommy James & the Shondells, Robin Trower, and The Tubes. I may have to go it alone if it comes to that in order to see the Zombies (had tickets once to see them many moons ago to see them, but my date got sick and I decided to be the gentleman... YEAH STUPID!).

I'd rather be dunked in a tank full of snakes. :)

Haven’t you learned by now it’s best to wear protective sunglasses with BS filtering when reading many of Hoss’s posts. :)

These would make a fashion statement...

Political opinions go against everything music, especially rock, is about. Ted has forgotten that apparently. I don't like it when any musicians do that. Elvis set a great precedent by just refusing to opine on it. Wasn't his job he said. Bravo King!

Hmmmm... I like the two choice parameters you've set up here. I'll mail you some black socks to force your hand... :)

But more and more do like Springsteen, Dixie Chicks, Bon Jovi, Santana, Madonna, Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow and Mellencamp. You no like them?

And I may have to exercise my rights under 2A... :)

Sure. Couldn't care less about their political stuff. Not that everyone doesn't have the right to their opinion, just keep it away from your music. Just like it shouldn't be discussed at any job. Just causes problems.

I love snakes. I Think they are beautiful. When i was in Arizona (or was it Nevada, don't remember) i went looking for rattlesnakes because it would be cool to see one. But i never saw one even though i saw signs telling me that they lived in the area. I don't think i could kill a snake, they are so cute. When i come across one in Sweden i often stop for a while just to look at it and perhaps exchange a couple of words. Only have two kinds of snakes here. One is poisonous but not lethally so. To us at least.
I grew up in Southern Arkansas, we had an abundance of what we called "Coon-Tailed Rattlesnakes". Not as long or as wide as Eastern or Western Diamondback rattlers but hard as hell to spot and ill tempered. My old man worked in a barite mine and the blasting they did in the mountains caused the rattlesnakes to be very active. They were constantly finding rattlers in the Terex trucks, work areas, the office areas, etc. It became such a hazard that they actually started posting "Danger: Check Work Area For Rattlesnakes" signs all throughout the mining complex. I've got a picture of my old man in one of my photo albums that shows him holding a live rattlesnake. He would catch them then let them go.....which gives you some indication of my backwoods upbringing...lol I do find snakes fascinating. I've never killed one and wouldn't dare hurt one intentionally.
