I have had REALLY good luck with Dirty Jobs laundry additive. I can only find it at Walmart, but it might be other places. Dirty Jobs™ - Get Tough on Your Dirtiest Jobs

It's the only thing that gets out oily stains, like when you blop ranch dressing on your shirt, or when a baby throws up formula on you. It's also really good on spaghetti and poop and blood, but most serious stain removers are. I'd just never found anything that worked on oil before. I swear, I could hear the angelic choir in the background when we first tried it! I wish I hadn't had 4 of my 5 kids BEFORE this product came out, I walked around for years with some pretty gothic barf stains...

Purelle hand sanitizer will neutralize oil and grease stains on clothes.

Should we be worried about you, sweetie? :p
I am only a danger to myself.

I am always cutting myself in the kitchen, one morning the bandage on a cut came off and before I knew it I was bleeding all over my t-shirt. Several days later I treated the stains with the Clorox product and they all came out; when I dotted the stain with the product the stain went from red to white!!

I love this tread! :strawberry: I am so going to try the Purel thing on my oily stains. I already have that in my house.
I use the Shout Color Catchers in my laundry, it's not a stain remover at all but it does exactly what it says, it absorbs all of the dyes that bleed into the water. They keep your laundry bright. No muddy wash water!
You can even put a new red shirt into a load of whites and you don't wind up with pink panties. I know this is true because I tested it.

I don't have one of these either! :biggrin2:
Neither do we. Our ancient dishwasher died a couple of years ago and we found it easier to just wash by hand--bonus: the dishes are cleaner!

For serious oil stains, ammonia works wonders. My oldest son works part time as a fry cook, and that's the only thing that gets the grease out of his clothes. My mom recommended it to me to get the 'man body/hair oil' out of pillowcases/sheets (sorry guys. You do have different body oil, and it doesn't come out easily), and it works for other set-in oils, too. I soak them overnight--works!
