Need an emergency cold can of beer?

A couple of seconds spraying the warm beer can with some Compressed Air for your computer keyboard makes for a cool refreshing brew.

How to open a can without any tools.

Rub the sealed top on concrete. Or a flat rock. No lie.

I just LOVE Russian accents! At work we have a doctor who dictates EEGs with a very strong Russian accent. Most of the girls cannot stand doing his dictations but I could just listen to him all day :haha:

Lepplady made me think of this:

It works!
I was wondering why my little computer room is not as warm as it was last winter - so that video explained a lot! I used to have the big old computer monitor that was great for the cat - he would lie on top of it because it got warm. Now I have this flat screen with a hard drive sort of built in underneath (no big rectangular hard drive any more!) My cats miss the old computer but I don't! So now I just use a room heater otherwise I get a bit chilly in here - thanks for that video skimom2

This little heater is perfect for small spaces! The big block of tea lights is $1.99 at IKEA here, and well worth it--they last much longer than the ones I bought from Wal-Mart last year (at a higher price!). A friend in Ireland linked me to the video & I loved it :)

Wow great tips everyone! Spidey, I will definitely have to try that with the ammonia/oven rack. It sure beats my bathtub sos pad/ scrub til you drop method! Jen, a stain remover that gets out oil? That is just so dang wonderful, I have got to try it!! (have a few shirts that I have written off due to oil spotting..) Sending a huge thank you for the tips!

This is the only household tip I know, and it works too!! The way to easily remove the shells from hard boiled eggs is to prick the round part of the egg with a thumb tack, place it in boiling water fro ten minutes. After they have cooled you will find the shells practically remove themselves.

Did some work this past winter and the tenant at the rental where I made some repairs had been making these portable...heater/camp stoves. What he did was take several aluminum cans, cut about an inch inch and a half off the bottom. I think he placed two bottoms together somehow, one inside the other. Or not...sorry. He'd take another bottom and place that over those with the bottom of this section facing up. In this piece he drilled a variety number of holes--he was making more than one. He'd use...Heet? I think it was as fuel and he said when you first fired one up, it would...do something. I'm not very helpful, am I? Say it would burn fast for a second or ten, and then would begin to provide uniform flame/heat through the various holes drilled around the rim of the inverted bottom. I think manufacturers make a product like this...for hiking/camping...the weight of which adds to that carried on your back. His models are lightweight compared to the manufactured models. It's a thought, anyway. And how badly can you be burned?

HANDY! My daughter loves boiled eggs, but hates when they peel badly. Thanks!

I may have to buy myself some thumbtacks! ;-D I hate when you lose half the egg because the shell won't come off cleanly.
