Hi Jeff, welcome to the site. :)

As stated in my reply to your private message, we do not allow members to post their stories to the MB, but if you have work hosted elsewhere on the internet and would like to provide us a link, you can create a thread in the Self Promotion area of the MB and share your work this way.
It is for legal reasons that we cannot post story content directly to the site as Stephen has had some problem with plagiarism accusations in the past, so it is just easier for us to not put him at risk--and we avoid this by having people link to their work offsite.

Thanks for the warm welcome all of ewes.... I have what I feel to be a pretty nifty little short story which I'll be posting (a link to) as soon as I can figure out how to acquire an exterior cyberzone on which to post it. BTW Does anyone have any advise on how to go about creating a blog without a big investment or technical knowhow? I just want to share this story jeez...

You could try Wattpad, FictionPress.com, or AnArchiveOfOurOwn.com. (My daughter uses two of the three) You still still have to create a profile at any of these sites, but it's not quite as arduous as creating a blog. Keep in mind, any content you put on the interwebs, though copyrighted as yours at the time of publication, is subject to piracy (My published content has been ripped off by Wattpad authors a couple of times, which makes me wary, but then again, Margaret Atwood chose to have a story published exclusively there. There is good and bad, to sum up.). Still, it can be a really good way of honing your skills and getting useful, almost immediate feedback. There are always trolls that flame everything--I'd advise you not to allow anonymous reviews--but there are some thoughtful readers out there, too.

Best of luck to you :)
