Hi!

How did you get to be here? On this forum?

After I finished reading Under the Dome I had some things I wanted to discuss. I Googled Stephen King and this site came up. I clicked on it, went to the message board read a few threads/posts and I was hooked! Signed up as a member as voila! Here I am.

So, tell us. How did you come to be here?

Thank you.

Peace.

I can't 'bemember' :m_dizzy: but I know it was in May 2012 - I love it here!
(it was probably right after I heard about 11/22/63 I think :m_whatwhat:- that got me reading SK again and I had a lot of catching up to do, it turned out).

I've been reading Mr. King's works since 1982, came across this site back in 2011 while looking for the a character's name in one of Mr. King's books. Saw this site when I Googled Stephen King, and found a board of very cool people. Always kind of felt off on my own as an S.K. fan but here I seem to fit in, even with my questionable spelling skills and long, rambling, incoherent narratives I pour out. You'll rock.

Am not completely sure but for some reason i googled his name in April this year. This site came up so my coriousity lead me on. What is this? Does he have a an own site? And then I read some threads, found some funny, some interesting and then i joined thinking i would probably loose interest after a while... That hasn't happened and I don't think it will happen. I am much more interested now than when i joined.

I think it was a link from Joe Hill's site. Maybe 2007/8? Something like that :) I remember being surprised that Mr. King had a site, and curious what was there (here). Though I wandered away for a while (a couple few rough/busy years), I wandered back home :)

I think The Wind Through the Keyhole might also have had something to do with joining - it was published in April of 2012.
It's surprising that the SKMB has been around for so long!
Does one of the moderators know when it was officially launched?

Neesy- I know the SKMB was in existence when SK had his accident. It was right around that time I started "lurking". June 1999

Thank you.
Sigmund nice post I'll explain why I'm here: I really loved reading King and see films taken from his works .... then a person very dear to me is dead ..... I could not more 'to read the books of King also if I bought them in the family .... then I "HEARD" NEED tO GO oN THE INTERNET, I FOUND tHE sITE I found Spideyman, Walter, I realized that even if an ocean divides us on the site there are people with me, same joys, same problems ..... it is a pleasure and an honor to have you found on this site ........... we may have different ideas but definitely a common passion: Stephen King and the emotions that we have did live up to now with his works

I wandered onto the original MB back when I was about 18. Google helped me find it, like it helped so many others, and since I was just discovering the wonders of the internet, I almost immediately became one of those geeky kids that had more friends online than I did in real life. The people here have consistently been nice, open, supportive, awesome people, and they were the reason I wound up staying on the board once I'd found it. And why I keep coming back. :biggrin2:
