I keep this secured inside my backpack with MOLLE straps..in case I run out of ammo......lol. SOG knives seem to keep a very good edge.

Yes sir they are. Very lightweight but easy to grip, almost feel like they could be thrown if you needed to. Although if I'm down to throwing knives at someone or something, the proverbial crap has hit the fan...lol
....yep, I'm with you there....if I had to depend on catching a 'bie between the eyes with my Bowie-then I should just lie down and have a nice nap while they discover I have no brain.....

I had an "Arkansas Toothpic" as survival knives around here were called back in the day. Someone told me one time, I have no idea if it's true or not, that the knife John Rambo carried in the movie was made here in Arkansas. Anyway, I ran mine right thru the webbing of my left hand one day trying to sheath it after using it to cut up some kindling for a camp fire. My dad, who'd convinced my mom that I'd be alright if they bought me one for my birthday kept asking me why my hand was covered in mud when I got home that afternoon. I'd gone to the creek and packed the cut with mud so she wouldn't see how deep it was...lmao. I told my dad about it years later, he said it was probably a good call if I wanted to keep the knife..lol

Hooooooly hell. I was going to say you'd stab yourself, and then a few posts later, you confirm that with the knife through the hand story.

Oh yeah, I spent hours sharpening that thing and it paid off. It cut thru the webbing of my hand as easily as a tin can....as the Ginsu advertisement claims...
I want to give you sh*t, but I really can't give you sh*t because I'm the person who jumped off the back of a moving motorcycle. I was more afraid of hitting a wall than hitting the ground.
