One of my favorite quotes from Mr. King: "Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work." I have that one posted above my desk--great reminder when people are blowing smoke up your arse (or you're tempted to try it yourself-boy, that sounds painful ;D).

That's a great quote to have!

Hey what's a livewriting event? Sounds like fun can we do something like that?
LiveWriting is a term coined by SlinkyBass. It's similar in concept to the Halloween Story in that a LiveWriting story is contributed to by more than one writer. I think only two LiveWriting stories were created, ????????? and Dalglish Road, but I might be mistaken. How it worked was simply that members interested in joining the story would do so. We kind of made up rules as we went along, and trusted one another to play nice. It was so much fun.

I love writing. Fiction, blog posts, whatever. I don't write enough fiction, though. Nothing is published. Well, except for my blog stuff. Some folks read the few stories posted there and I suppose they enjoy them since I haven't heard any complaints about wasting precious cyberspace. I haven't had the nerve to try to get something professionally published and I don't think I am quite there yet. I can barely meet my own standards at this point.

Two unpublished novels, 1 full-length screenplay, several short screenplays, about 50 short stories. I enjoy writing and telling stories, I haven't done much shopping my stuff around.
Working on a children's picture book next with my sister who is a professional artist.
I really like writers of all kinds, nowadays more than ever. I'm really happy to be hanging out with some sincere and successful ones.
