Sorry to hear that winter prediction for those of you who get a cold snowy winter anyway. For us, it'd be a welcome change. Today is going to be a scorcher. Weatherman says it will be the hottest day of the year. Guess who's going camping this weekend? I'm afraid it'll be horrible, but I can't change our plans. We'll just sleep in the shade all day.

We've been hovering near 90 and will be the same next week.........Before that, our wacky weather was getting down in the 40's at night! I just hope that we (any of us) do not have Antarctica all over again this Winter.

I would love to have some 90's right now. We have been stuck in the upper 60's to low 70's for a while now with the exception of yesterday's 80F. I mean, it's nice for middle to late September early October weather, but I want me some more summer. Golly!

If they're talking about a colder winter than last year, it's going to be a very bad winter for low income folks and those on fixed incomes such as the elderly who don't have a lot of options to supplement their income. And to make matters worse for them, many of the subsidized heat programs have had their budgets severely cut. Not liking the idea of dealing with the cold as I hate!!!! being cold but time to give thanks that I have the means to pay for the propane to keep my house warm.

OOO, I would gladly send you some. Did I mention that we haven't had any rain ( what fell today was minimal) and everything is brown and dusty? I will trade you some heat for some rain!!

99F, but heat index puts it at 110. And humid - oh my gosh. And my poor boy has football practice. I'm hoping they call it due to heat alert. They practice in the evening, though, so it won't be quite as bad.

That is hot, but I'd take it for a day or two. :watermelon: I just have missed the real hot stuff this summer. Good luck to your son in football. What position does he play?

It's going to be 97º here with matching humidity, sans rain.
Same for tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, and even the one after that. *pant*
It's so hot the cows are giving evaporated milk.

Aren't y'all jealous of me and Holly? We're lovin' August in Tennessee.
Pardon us while we sweat all over the map.

I feel bad for the Titans having to practice in that.....:p (Sorry Holly, I'm smacking Lily in the Football Cave over the Titans).

I am jealous of you and Holly. You'd think you would be nice enough to share.:tongue-new:

It's raining out right now, Becks. We have had more than our share so I would gladly send you some.:) We have had maybe three days in a row this summer without rain. A trade would go down fast!!:biggrin-new:

Wow--had no idea the weather had been that bad down your way! I keep telling you, you need to move north--both our winters and summers have been better than yours lately! ;-D

Take today for instance. Slight chance of a shower (they said), right? Been raining since 8. Last Wednesday we had over 4 inches in about 3 hours time. Showers on both Sat and Sunday. Not a lot those two days but, but ARGH!!!!

I want your rain. We used to get rain all the time but the world seems to have moved on. The storms and rain go north of us now.
