Here in Edmonton, Alberta, the snow is snewing and the wind is blewing lol. If you are more of a summer person, you can always indoor surf at our mall, though.

I loved that mall, but I never could get past the wave pool. That place is HUGE!!

When we lived in Edmonton we would go spend an entire day there when it was cold (usually February) - bring a picnic lunch and just go down all those water slides, bob around the pool, relax on the "beach" around the pool - it was so great!

I was younger and slimmer then (back in the early 90s so I did not mind walking around in a swimsuit) plus in better shape - ah - the good old days! :biggrin-new::laugh::love:

There was this once...I'm sitting in the Loading Zone with Mike, TVs mounted behind the bar, commercial comes on, ladies in bikinis skiing down the slope. Dinky, the bartender, Mike, myself, we all look at each other and one of us said, I want to have winters like that! So...Edmonton, hey? Tough Cannucks. There's some knuckleheads here that cut a big hole in the ice on the Portage Canal...by the lift-bridge?...and jump in...the Polar Bear Challenge they call it. Idiot Yoopers. I've got a blanket and a book. All is well.

Cold snap...this morning it is about 6 on the F-scale...about 15-below on the C-scale. December was mild, comparatively...so some of the snow that fell disappeared though there is still about two feet ground cover more or less, more where we pile it. Last year, one of the apple trees (about 12' tall) was all but buried save for the top two feet of branches...this year...a fraction of that.

Thunderstorms last night, today and tonight as I write this, plus it's summer here so about 30+ degrees and quite muggy. I am reading the last bit of Revival just when that thunderstorm is coming, very strange when you get an actual thunderstorm as well.LOL.
