Sun is trying to come out. Still some smoke from the fires in Washington and now the Okanagan Valley too. On the 10 Scale Kelowna is down to a 7 from 17 on Monday.
I know that 10 Scale sentence did not make sense; but that is what they said on the National News.
Supposed to rain all weekend, that will clear the smoke/bad air quality. Supposed to be 27degC (81degF) today. Should say Kelowna is in the Okanagan Valley too.

Oh brother, Spidey!! Looks like you're in for a lot of rain again. Have you at least gotten a little break from the deluge you guys got a few weeks ago? Have things dried out some?
We've had several days of full sun, but areas to my south still have standing flood water and flood watches are issues already ahead of Erika. Thankful, I am high and not near rivers. Lots of trees, so wind is the factor.

Do you have trees near to the house or sheds, Spidey? Or is there enough room for clearance? Power line issues probably too?

Ground saturation is going to be a BIG problem.

I have a variety pines and what we call scrub oaks. The home is pretty well cleared of the trees, but the scrub oaks have overgrown the tops of the sheds. Electric company clears the main road lines each year, but not the drop line. I had a neighbor cut along the drop line two years ago, so it's good other than one small tree, I'll cut this evening. The electric company also installed an additional transformer pole on my drop line. During that bad tropical season a few years back many of the transformer blew. That is impressive!!
Thus far, I have not had a major problem with ground saturation. It will pool during the downpours, but always seeps back into the ground quickly.
