I love rain. We've had two good rain days. It's supposed to be gorgeous all weekend BUT I'm praying for rain. I'm going to do my rain dance. If it doesn't rain, we have to start painting the exterior of the house. We've put it off two years. It's only getting worse. Everyday: rain dance for Shelby County TN. Come on!

Warmish. Jeans n shirt weather and going higher. Sighs* Greens leaves are all over the place in the garden. Fish pond cleaned and set going. Lawn is starting to turn green. I hate this cause I was shortchanged with very little winter...NOT FAIR AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds gorgeous! It wouldn't be so bad - painting - except it's two stories with an attic. We're terrified. We've found that you can rent scaffolding, get the power sprayer for paint with a backpack and an extender hose - the very scary part will be the eaves. I'll post a pic of our multi-colored space - we've spent a year arguing about color. Once the kids are gone I'm moving to an RV.

Hand brush it! It will last longer. I climb on the roof and lay flat and hang over the edge to get the higher peaks I can't reach. My son holds the ladder while I go up, and when I'm done, I call him and he comes out and helps me climb down. He has informed me that this is the last time I will be painting the house. Apparently I scare the sh*t out of my family.

That's a great idea! The roof is much more stable than a ladder. I bet you do scare your family! That's funny! Clearly they're not scared enough to come do it instead of you. I do like to paint, but this whole standing on a ladder on my tiptoes with 2 gallons of paint on my back looking up just terrifies me. I'd be so much more willing to lay on the roof and lean over. Excellent idea! The ivy has all grown back. I wonder if anyone would notice if we just didn't paint under it. It's so pretty.

LOL! Normal here. It's not unheard of to snow into May, but it doesn't look likely this year :) I'm not a snow bunny--if it wasn't for The Man's unwillingness to move away from his parents years ago, I'd not live here.
I am a snow bunny. Yah wanna trade places with me? Edmonton is pushing up daisies. Not enough snow to put in a bucket all winter. I will gladly relocate to Utah for a bit of the white stuff lol.

A little rain today, but not enough. Had a brush fire in our town over the weekend that incinerated about fifty acres before they got it under control. Was miles from me, but scary stuff. A lot of very dry kindling lying around now on top of all those brown leaves.

Just saw on weather station, much of the NE is under a fire alert. Be safe!

It's been really lovely. 70's and 80's.

But ugh. No air conditioner at work for 5 more weeks - broken. I sit around the glass block windows. Gave out desk fans for everyone today.

Drawings blowing around. And me tryin to work.
