Mmmm, I have never tried maple syrup on snowcones or ice cream. I think maybe I've been missing out! Sounds delicious, much better than fruity flavors!
We always just scooped it up in a bowl and poured maple syrup over it but apparently some people heat up the maple syrup first and then pour it over to make a taffy-type candy with it.

Yummy! Both ways sound really good. Does it kind of get a crust on it, like a hot fudge sundae?
More crunchy than that IIRC. It's been many, many years since I've done that--a couple decades is more like it now that I think about it.

It's going to be a wet weekend here. Forecast says much rain tomorrow, I am afraid that some places going to flood, because if we
believe in forecast we get as much rain in one day that we get in one month. That is way too much water in one day.

Our weather's been crap pretty much all year. Everyone came out into the street a couple of weeks ago, though, looking up and blinking like moles in the unexpected light. No one seemed to know what that bright yellow-white thing in the sky was. In the end someone looked it up online and went 'It's the sun!'
Much rejoicing was had. The gods had not forsaken us after all!
That was on a Wednesday. It rained every day for a week after that, and it was decidedly chilly.

I'm only half-joking there. We have had 4 days of 'average or slightly above average' warmth. The rest of the time, forget it. And weekends! What a joke.
Our lawn's started to look like a rain forest, but with all the rain it's either raining, about to rain, or the ground's still soaked because of the last lot of rain. Yet we keep getting told that the weather has been 'glorious' in the region. Not 'round 'ere, it ay.

I am ready to hire a yard service - the weeds in the back yard are getting rather high.

Just dug the weed whacker out of the garage and I am going to put on my long pants, work gloves, sun screen etc. and tackle the edging.

It's actually a bit warm out today. I felt a little something trickle down my face that wasn't cold beer for a change. Where's Ms. Mod? This is unbelievable.
Inside at the office so not able to enjoy it. I did step outside a few minutes ago to walk out to the mailbox and think I might be coming down with something and have to go home early, though. Feels like a serious case of spring fever. :D

Yes, I'm not feeling well either. That sweat trickling down my face was due to a fever as well. LOL! It's 87F out here if you can believe it.

Just north of Duma Key
90F and here we go folks:
An area of disturbed weather near the Bahamas may become a tropical or subtropical depression or storm later this week, and may soak parts of the Southeast coast during the Memorial Day weekend.

On Wednesday morning, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said that this system now has a 50 percent chance of developing into a subtropical or tropical depression or storm in the next five days. This is a slight increase in odds for development from an earlier outlook issued Tuesday.

In addition, the area of interest has also been designated as Invest 91-L by the NHC. This naming convention is used by the NHC to identify features they are monitoring for potential future development into a depression or storm.

Wowzer! I agree, you should go home before you get heat exhaustion.

Only 78 here according to the weather underground site. This is going to be another playing hooky day for yoga--I can commune with nature on my patio and do a few sun salutations there instead. ;-D
