Agreed--that combination of heat and high humidity is just about as bad. The only saving grace for that side of it, though, is that you don't have to worry as much about having an auto accident because of weather conditions.

That is very true ma'am. You should see traffic when it just spits snow here and barely covers the road...it's a absolute mess around the city where I live. Fayetteville doesn't have a flat surface throughout the whole city, the UA campus, everything is built on hills and no one seems to have a clue how to drive on it when it happens. Slowing down doesn't seem to be an option and every person with a 4 x 4 thinks slick road conditions don't apply to them. One year, right around New Year's Day, when I still worked for the PD, there were over 100 traffic accidents during one 8-hour shift. People were having to wait 2-3 hours for officers to respond. We go so long between serious snow or ice storms here that no one remembers how to maneuver....slow down.....don't try to drive up hills in a rear wheel 2WD truck...find another route to take. Panic is the norm when we get bad winter weather here..lol

Two new fires closer to home this week. One in Ashe county has consumed over 400 acres, and a new one in the Sampson community started last night......my uncle lives in Sampson.....still no rain in sight
Here's the pic of the Sampson fire

Wow - that is so nice! We just got our first snow last night but hopefully it won't stay on the ground too long - winter will be here soon enough :snowman::cool-new:

Only about a half inch on the cars. Nothing on the ground as we had a beautiful day on Saturday in the mid 60’s until we got hit around 7 pm with that cold front those dang Canadians sent us. I think we need to build a wall on the north border, also. :)

:yes_pig:I'll get a visa on my passport

Will you sponsor me as a foreign visitor?

The weather can't be all that bad, is it?
