96 degrees today. I had the funding for one of my projects at work get kicked to the back burner by my boss today. I was feeling a bit irritated until I watched, from my air conditioned office, one of our maintenance guys walk by outside who was carrying a weed eater and looked like he'd just climbed out of a lake. I then decided to stop feeling irritated....

Retired Firefighter Shoots Up AT&T Utility Trucks Outside Hialeah Home: Police | NBC 6 South Florida
This man shot a utility truck and reloaded several times. Die truck! From what I understand, he asked to have the truck moved from in front of his home. (One guy was in the bucket during the assault of the truck.)
Get off my lawn on a higher level.

This is (one reason) why we moved up here! Today was around 80F, light breeze. It's for days like this that we put up with the rain.

It is around ninety degrees right now and steamy. I have been out back reading. I wipe off the sweat with a towel every ten minutes and again drops gather on my brow and run into my eyes. Yesterday's grass clippings resemble dried, threshed tobacco and smell like tea leaves. The buzz of cicadas etch their sound into my ears in hypnotic waves. Everyone stay hydrated and enjoy your weekend.
