This is a problem for me. People in my area are taught to be nice as pie to everyone's face, then eviscerate them the minute they walk away. I don't have that in me. Rest assured, if I don't like someone I stay away from them. If I have something to say, I say it to them. Even if I don't say it, my face shows everything (lol). So women around my area don't get me and I don't get them. *sigh*
And I get that.

And I will never get them.

So I went last week to see my eye doctor because I need new glasses and it's better to get testet by a doctor.
He told me it's really hard to tell which prescription I need. Plus I constantly use one eye and my brain blocks the other. I am fine don't have any trouble. Okay last he said is "You should go and see some other specialist. Let's see if we should try to cure it or not." I called there and they have appointments in August.

I am really angry new glasses in August plus I maybe have to move into another city job related who knows if I stay here in my area. :facepalm_smiley:

I allready called an other place and they give you as well appointments in August...
My gawd, August to get an appointment with an eye specialist? Where do you live... Burundi?

Socialized medical care, right?
No different than America. I know people who've had to wait a month or two to get into specialist. It just depends how popular the doctor is and how many of those specialists are in your area, and whether it is considered an emergency.

I've know women with breast lumps -- something I would consider an emergency-- having to schedule and wait for biopsies.

I think Dio wanted to mock the German health care system...

The same thing happens where I live, too.

He wanted to mock any country with socialized medicine.
You shouldn’t be allowed to note some of the pitfalls of socialized medicine, now? I am pretty confident you already know I would be in favor of a single payer system here in the US if we could somehow find a way to keep our wasteful, over-regulating, favor-giving, ineffective and highly bureaucratic government from operating the thing.

I do remember your mentioning the single payer system as well as frequently mocking socialized medicine. I think if we were able to get rid of the money-grubbing, overreaching, price-gouging capitalist section of providers of medical services and insurance, we'd be a lot better off. The idea that the government tries to dictate our medical services anymore than the private sector is subject to debate--but not in this thread.

I agree a month or two is not uncommon for some specialists. But isn't niro talking about seven months?

And he needs to quit dumping politics in every thread.
Looking at the ‘Recent Posts’ threads I notice I’ve posted in the ‘Weekly Survey,’ ‘Cheese for OoO,’ ‘Valentine's Day,’ ‘Are you among the frightened?,’ ‘How's The Weather?,’ and ‘What artist/song are you listening to RIGHT NOW?.’ Where did I bring politics into them? Or is ‘every’ just hyperbole because DiO is evil?

You drop "jokes" insinuating things every day.
