Getting tired of being blamed for sh!t I didn't start.

Story of my life. I spent so much time and energy denying I was entirely to blame for every situation which ever went wrong, much of which were bad breaks, other people being jerks (I've just learned the administrator of one site which gave me grief is a complete phony--a sock puppet for some poor mental case--) and other crap which I either did not do intentionally, or at all, and for which I was always automatically blamed. Blame was never shifted unless the guilty parties also did something to my family or their friends--then they said, okay, it's them in this case, but you're still probably crazy. My denying it never made anyone happy. I knew perfectly well I was designated the family scapegoat in 1963, and any attempted evidence to the contrary upset the balance of the universe, not only for my own family, but at schools in which my family had no involvement but I was designated the scapegoat anyway. It would take a miracle of Biblical proportions to change this, and I believed in such a miracle from about 1963-2013, then I was done. Similar things happened in some work situations. Protesting my innocence never helped, and in fact made those blaming me see me as argumentative, paranoid, and, I guess, not facing up to the "fact" that I was really to blame for everything, till finally early last year I hit the wall, so tired and exasperated I thought, give the people what they want, and posted on Facebook...and possibly some other places...it's all kind of a blur...if what you people want is to blame me for everything that ever went wrong in history starting before my first birthday, fine, I accept the blame, I hope you're happy and if I can't do anything right may you find great satisfaction in my absence and really good luck finding someone else to blame. (What I wrote was much longer and nastier--at the time I was suffering from a broken leg not healing as fast as I expected, sweating and coughing nonstop from flu, and the final straw was a computer upgrade made iTunes so I ABSOLUTELY. COULD. NOT. USE. IT! when it worked fine before! When I looked into the situation, it seemed the jerks in charge had known this for two years and did nothing to fix it! Since then somebody did something because now it works--but don't let them know that or they may screw it up again. There was also no good alternative to iTunes or to the other problems either.) With all this I just didn't have the time and energy to put on an act that I was going to amount to anything in life--an act I had attempted to keep up for decades--when it had been pretty conclusively demonstrated I wasn't. So I said, fine, have it your way and just see how you like it. It caused a bit of a sh!t storm, with people all over the place calling up my sister, who was none too happy, asking her and me personally if I was all right, and so on. Which makes me wonder what I will do one of these days when I am really not all right, which I see absolutely no way of preventing. Just for the hell of it, I went to City Hall close to closing the other day and detailed instances in which city employees were horribly rude to me at times when I was, for free, trying to do the right thing in situations which I did not cause which fell under their job descriptions. In this case the lady there was very nice. But yeah, it all began with being blamed for situations I either didn't cause intentionally, or at all.

Technically happened last night but I had no wi-fi then.

So, you guys know that last night was Laser Rush, a thing we go to every year. Now, it's not really an "event" as much as a party that's grown. This year there were more than 100 people at the mid-way point. We've only had a live band for this year and last year. One of the bands was made up of members of two Rush tribute bands: Why-Why-Zed and Fred Barchetta (we called them Fred Zed last night). Two of them flew up from the Bay area to attend and play. So, everybody sets up their equipment which, for the second band included some pretty amazing lights (LED spots, even small Vari-lights). So, when the first band played, they asked if the lights could be on, even though it was still daylight, it's kinda nice for a band to have spots. The lighting guy says "$1,000 bucks." Man, that is some selfish shyte right there. Everyone volunteers their time and travel to do this party and the host pays the damn electric bill. Yeah, they didn't need it but still....

The first band kicked-a$$, by the way. Did one of the best versions of La Villa Strangiato we'd ever heard (including by Rush). Amazing! The second band is very good as well but a name change made them sound a bit pretentious and prima donna-ish, which is mostly the vocalist/keyboard guy's doing, if I'm reading things correctly (I usually do with show biz stuff). This same guy, at the acoustic jam (quiet time for the neighbors) dissed one of my favorite Rush tunes and, at that point, my patience had worn thin. I played and sang Bravado with them then begged off (my feet were starting to complain).

Our buddy does this every year out of his love of both Rush and lasers and the goodness of his heart. When people start using to use others and being snotty, it begins to stress sweet people like him out. And don't even get me started of the drivers on our way home with the Vapor Trailer... :a11:

I am irritated, like really irritatied. I just started my first tabby book One on ONE, and I already have questions that I whould like anwered from the author, in only the first 21 pages, but I can. Ot find any answers to my question, or anything on her describing the book, how she was inspired to write it, how she found the voice of both the two characters, etc, that I can with other most authors, and I am not talking the big names, I am also talking of the run of the mill regular authors, like charlanie harris, Jodi pacote, etc. It ticks me off just a bit.

I read the Tabitha King book 'The Trap' about a year ago, it's really good so think about reading that one as well. I don't think you can find out specifically about anything because I had a few questions and was told King doesn't personally answere any questions, but if your'e lucky someone else might.

I only have small world, pearl and one on one, I could buy the trap in-line, but I really like the idea of finding hers second hand. It just irritates me,
she was talked about penis, penises and dicks, ad the function of a teenage boys penis like 15 times I like the first 30 pages

Finally had some time to catch up with international news, specifically what's been going on in Charlottesville. I never thought I'd be seeing those scenes in the 21st century. Oh Jesus. America, your leaders are failing you.

I'm not angry but I've had "one of those days" where it seems like lots of little stuff went wrong, from when I overslept and dropped the cats food on the floor (which one of the dogs sucked down and subsequently it made an appearance soon thereafter) to the fact I slept completely wrong and woke up unable to breathe deeply due to a sore back. Worktime seemed to drag. The house is being redecorated so it's completely torn up and I've always felt myself slightly depressed when that has happened in the past.
I suppose this too shall pass but eeeeeigh... :a17:

I got attacked by someone in what was supposed to be a "safe space." I wasn't physically assaulted. It happened on the Internet, like most other things these days.

Internet attacks are getting out of control it seems. I think people will spend hours going out of their way to find something to be offended by and have a reason to attack others, making themselves feel super intelligent and super important. Sorry this happened, it still can hurt :(

Here, there and everywhere.
All things considered, this is very petty, but here goes....

People who don't wash their bodies or brush their teeth in the heat of southern August, and then demand that you stand very close to them and help them. (I work at a library.) And no - these aren't homeless people, they have cars and check out DVDs and have cell phones - they're just nasty and lazy and inconsiderate, and I'm going to start clipping a nosegay to my sleeve. :(

CLOSE TALKERS!!!
They send me into a rage every single time, and then I think of this and bust up laughing. When I bust up laughing I always make sure to throw in a cough, sneeze or let spittle fly.

Yes okay, but just a reminder... we're not going to use other threads outside of hot topics to discuss hot topic issues when that section of the message board is closed to posting.
