Not an angry post :) Thanks to all who replied so kindly to my whinge the other day. It was uncharacteristic of me (I try to be positive), so thank you for being generous on a bad day.

Happy a rough couple days here. Damn eye doctor. I scheduled my appointments four months in a row. Because other wise they can"t fit me in at the time frame my doctor can see me. So first one appointment had to be set two weeks later than he wanted. Then they call yesterday and try to change it for two more weeks later. I explain to them and they just lead me on. Of course no others in the area that do these injections. So unhappy I say I will be there but I ain't happy and you can explain to the doctor. Not my fault. So wth they call this morning and ask why I think I can wait another two weeks. So I told them well you might ask your staff. So we talk ,she says let me talk to my supervisor and call you back. I just feel like they are jerking me around.

I bet you could get really out of order with folks when they make you mad.

It doesn't happen often, but things like our friend Linda has been through....well....... it's just not right. I get mad because you can tell what a good person she is by the way she is on here and I don't like to see her treated unfairly. I feel the same for a lot of people here.

And.........

You should hear me on the phone with DirecTV. My dog has to leave the room........LOL

Damn that sucks. Keep after them, I know it gets aggravating as hell, but do it. This isn't a game it's your eyesight. Tell them that! Or I will!!

Sorry, but I just get mad when stuff like this happens to people I like.
The part that really gets me is.Of course I can not drive after these. So everytime I have an eye appointment my husband misses a half day of work to take. We like his employer know as soon as I have scheduled my appts ,so they can change my husbands schedule in order for him to get his hours and it helps them as they only have one other guy who can do is job and he actually works the other shift. So the company depends on these two guys. So lots of times my husband works 7 days a week or will go in when ever they call him. He has been known to get home eat dinner and they call him back.So of course I feel like a burden some days. So really the doctors office needs to get their crap together.

Don't ever feel like a burden. It's not your fault! Did you tell the doctor's office what they are doing to your husband's work schedule? If not you should.

I'm going outside for a minute...........

I did but they are like the doctor is very busy and will excuse it for health reasons. Thats fine but not really the issue as his work is very understanding and will do what it takes. I mean hell they paid a month of our household expenses,so we could use the extra money on my eyes. Ahyway I guess I better go fix some lunch and wait for there call.

Linda, you are being jerked around and don't you dare feel like you are a burden to anyone!!! EVER----
The schedulers are messing with you and the doctor. Question: if the doctor wants you a set schedule of the injections, and you attempt to make those appointments- why are the schedulers changing them? it appears even your doctor is questioning the changes. Might be time for a hard talk. The ducks need to be a row and someone is messing that up. You need to explain the entire situation to whomever is messing it up. Your eye sight is at risk, your husband job could be at risk, and you are under too much stress already. You do not need this additional stress. The body can not heal while under stress. The doctor should be aware of that fact and if he is there to help you, he needs to straighten the mess out- now.
I'm right there with OoO.

I'm sorry Lin...am I understanding correctly that you are trying to coordinate appointments with your regular doc and the eye doc? If that's the case, I would see if your regular doctor's office will call the eye doctor and put a fire under his butt.

If I am misunderstanding and the eye dr is booked up, well it should be easy enough for them to call non-emergent patients and reschedule them in order to get you in, in the time frame the doctor wants. That's what they should be doing, and I think I would demand they do that.

Either way, I am sorry you are having more stress and worry piled on. You are the patient, you have a serious health matter you are trying to take care of, and they are supposed to accommodate YOU...especially in an emergency type situation.
