am hoping I'm not the only one :icon_eek:
(not sure if I'm posting in the correct place either, I apologize if it needs to be moved)
Obviously I am a big King fanaddict or I wouldn't be on this great site but I must come clean....I haven't read every single book. Yet. Before you send me to the gallows let me say that I do OWN all of them.
To read: The entire Dark Tower series. Still have my copy of The Gunslinger that I got when it first came out just haven't read it yet. Or any of them.
Blaze.
Am I the only one who has yet to read everything? Someone, anyone, please say it 'aint so! :O_O:

I haven't either and I've worked for him for nearly 26 years. If he can cut me some slack on that, we certainly can do the same for you.

Owen, his own son, hadn't even read The Shining by the time SK wrote Dr Sleep, So I think you're alright really...

Maybe, to him, it's just something Dad knocked out one time; SK's equivalent of the rickety chairs and wonky tables that come up from cellars and out of garden sheds...sorry, 'workshops' (at least as far as his kids are concerned).

But, back to the topic...I've not read them all either. And in all honesty, there are some I might never read. The blurbs just don't tickle my fancy. (Erm...)

Maybe as sK's son Owen felt he couldn't read The Shining until all the voices and hubbub about it, its popularity and incredible success, the movie, had settled in his mind so he could gain perspective, so he could see what he himself thought of it.

Mr Nobody, please consider reading all titles regardless of anything you read about them. I learned my lesson long ago not to assume anything at all about an sK work, and can honestly say I've yet to be disappointed, despite what I figured a story would be about or if I'd like it.

Read three short stories and then go and sin no more, Lori. Anyone who picks up the first Stephen King story (mine was It) decides when that story is done whether they want to read another (mine was Dreamcatcher) or not. And then there's the elect who find a copy of The Gunslinger and proceed to OD on everything that follows and when the ride is over they run around and start again. Oh la. I've been surprised before by posts from long-time members here who admitted they did not read a story. You could have rubbed our collective noses in it and proclaimed to all of the gluttons over in the stuffed-corner that you still have some treats that you haven't wolfed down. Had it not been for Roland and The Dark Tower I never (?) would have read everything I could get my hands on.

I only have Cujo left to read and I think I'm caught up on the novels. Still need to read Nightmares & Dreamscapes! I must admit I just finished The Dark Tower this year.
Sweet Pea, N & D is like a box of chocolates... a bunch of short stories with surprises in them. You could join us on Friday evenings (9:30pm EST) for our discussion...this weeks selection is chattery teeth 2014-09-18-06-25-37--2118981805.jpeg
