I was just about make a ‘one-room schoolhouse’ wisecrack... before remembering I pretty much went to one. We only had about 12 kids in each class of our school, and 1st&2nd , 3rd&4th , 5th&6th, 7th&8th grades were combined into the same classroom.
I actually did go to one here in Maine for just one year so wouldn't have been a wisecrack. It had grades 1-4 but can't remember how many students total. I tested out of third grade after the first quarter and was in fourth grade the rest of the year but also can't remember if that meant I had to move over to the next row or kept the same seat all year.

So your knuckles are not arthritic , and you do not carry a tape measure with you to ck that your skirt is at least 2 inches below you knees, you can see a picture of saddle shoes without screaming and not be fearful to chew gum????
I had some really nice nuns, and then again I had some that had to be the incarnation of satan himself. Me bad!
And the dark side welcomes another new member....

:biggrin2: The arthritic thumbs come from all the years of typing. In high school, mini-skirts were just coming into fashion so the rule there was that the hem had to touch the seat after you were on it on your knees. Some girls had terrible posture during those years (when the teacher didn't catch them bending down to make the skirts touch the seat ;-D). We did have a typing teacher who many of us joked had either been a nun or gestapo before she came to teach us because of her constant barking to have our "wrists level--no slouching!"

...not to be a buzz-kill, but guess I will be....Frank will be back when he gets through having his snit and his wounded psyche settles....I have met him and had many conversations with him, and he is not one to take "counseling" if it doesn't fit his world view....I wish him well, but he will only return when and if he feels he's proven a non-existent point.....he's a stubborn dude.....

Why do some think Frank had a snit whatever that is? Maybe he had an accident? He was in the process of replacing his steps yay ago I'd think he'd be done with them but at some point when I figured he would have completed his new basement steps he still hadn't done so. So...I haven't really seen any indication that "something happened". Anyone hear if he had completed his basement step project? Don't know how he made do without basement steps but then who wants to go down there, anyway?

Read back through the posts. He had words with Marsha. She banned him for a day. He decided not to come back.
