I bought it from a man who buys old furniture, I've bought some stuff from him before. He said a couple were building a million dollar house and foreclosed on it and they sold the contents of their storage unit (I'm guessing the storage unit was full of stuff for the new house) and this was in the storage unit. He said he'd never seen anything like it before, of course we're a bunch of flat-landers out here and I hadn't seen anything like it either. He was asking $300 for it and my husband who is versed in getting the best price for anything talked him down to $260.

I am happy today because I was on the phone with my friend. We have been friends since before first grade. Friend does not do justice. Family.

She talked me out of getting Fred the parrot. With much hilarity. And wisdom. She knows me.
