Your post brought smiles, the feeling of happiness. The stars are aligning, Ka is in play. You are discovering the concept of Love and Green Lights. You and your son deserve this!! Tamara too!!
She deserves much, much better than a burned out bum like me but for some reason she keeps hanging around. She's a really good person and the fact we went to school together all those years just continues to seem strange to me...Ka is a wheel I suppose.

We had such a weirdly normal morning today. I cleaned out my gutters while my girlfriend and my son grilled burgers and hot dogs, her son was taking a nap. I was up on my ladder and looked down and just kind of watched both of them for a few minutes as Tamara was trying to show my son when to flip the burgers and they were both laughing. She looked up at me, smiled, and asked what I was staring at?

"I don't know. Maybe a second chance." I said not knowing if she'd understand that or not.

She smiled again and said "Me too, babe. Hurry up the burgers are just about ready.

I started looking for a low flying comet to knock me off the ladder but so far it hasn't happened. Maybe this is what the beginning of healing feels like. I just don't know. Everyone have a good weekend. Stay safe.
...damn son, ya got me with that...you are so deserving of happiness man....and you and I are both bums but somehow we found women to look past the rough bark...

Hello Flake. How have you and yours been ma'am? I hope everyone is well.

Hey Shannon, life has been busy. It's winter here now, so extra work and shorter days, so less time to fit everything in. Family is well and that helps. I'm just so pleased to read of your happiness, it's really lovely and you have my best wishes that flying comets and any of their distant relatives, stay the hell away from you and your developing family.

Yeah, everyone was thinking it. It took someone as Connery-esque as me to say it.

I've been thinking of changing my profile pic my own self. I fear that the constant presence of my boyish yet craggily handsome features on these posts might weaken GNTLGNT's tenuous grip on heterosexuality! Oh sh-t, I just made myself laugh! That's got to be a warning sign. I'm thinking of using Shelia, the drive-thru manager at Smiley Burger, from the 1999 film, American Beauty! Any more Shelia fans in the house?

Let me know what you think.
Yes, let us know!
I thought it was excellent. Very true to the book in many ways, and yet the changes were interesting and thought provoking IMHO. Can't wait until the two of you have the chance to see it! The young actress who played Melanie was quite amazing. It said introducing...so I'm assuming it was her first film. And I've always loved Glenn Close.
