Wouldn't go so far as to say "happy," but I am grateful for something today for the first time in forever. The guy who does my hair asked my mom earlier this month (I bought her a salon service for her birthday) if I would be willing to be in a hair show at the salon. I told her it was really nice that he asked, which she passed on and somehow it was translated as a "yes." He texted me last week and told me he was excited for me to be a part of the event-I felt it was too late to back out. I have SEVERE social anxiety and things like this are next to impossible for me. I went in today for the service-he colored my hair and put red and yellow extensions in (CRAZY-but it's free!). I asked him how much it would cost to have this done if I had to pay for it-he said over $400!!! Holy wow-he told me he picked me because he knew I would appreciate it. The show's on Thursday night and I am soooooo nervous-wish me luck!
Wow - I am just seeing this now - lucky you! I hope the show went well for you :)

Great news for you - what time do you start in the morning?

Oh yeah I almost forgot - I found a new recipe today for gingerbread with chocolate - yummy!
Nine. Right now my husband and I are sharing a car, but we'll be getting another one ASAP, and I will hopefully be starting at seven, a much more (to my morning person mind) reasonable time.

I've been thinking about this too... did you do it yet morgan?
Yes-it was about a week and a half ago. There were over 150 people there and I was terrified-I only slept for three hours the night after the show 'cuz I was so traumatized. But I followed through and I did it! (They put me in neon "rodeo clown" makeup! :a11:) Never again-but I'm proud of myself that I didn't back out!

Yup - 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. is a great shift! (still gives me time to go for a workout at the Fitness Centre at work before heading home)
