I haven't felt truly happy or content for a really long time, but this morning when I took one of my dogs out for a walk, we found the park to be completely frost-covered and it was just beautiful and the sun was strong and I felt myself smiling and it was good to breathe the cool fresh air.

I tried to draw my avatar in the frost and I almost got it completely done before this old guy caught me doing it, so I stopped. (The picture was big and I had to jump in and out of the middle of the smiley face, so I probably looked like a lunatic.)

I am happy because I just got a wedding invitation in the mail from a cousin. He busted his butt to put his first wife through school, then law school, with the understanding it would be his turn when she finished. She left him as soon as she was done with school and got a good job. So this makes me happy because he is such a kind, gentle soul. He deserves to be happy. :)
That exact thing happened to my youngest brother (the wife thing, not the wedding). I don't think he'll ever remarry. Congrats to your cousin and best witness for his new life :)

Frosty Flake! The old guy probably just assumed you were an amateur crop-circler.

Ahem!
No, he is one of those people that has to try and put a hand on your arm when he's talking to you and tries to keep stepping close to me when I step back from him... it's just uncomfortable.

I know an entire family like that--lol. I remember once having all 5 of them talking to/at me at once; they kept getting closer and I kept backing up until I was backed into a table. I briefly considered climbing over it to get away, but The Man finally rescued me (he thought it was hilarious until I started to look panicky, he said) :D

You poor thing... isn't it awful? Why do people do that? And especially once you start backing up!
