I am not a crying man (this is not meant to be corny) but I have just listened to 11.22.63 for the third time (on Amazon's Audible download service) and I cried at the end of the book, for the third time. This is just beautiful.
This is my joint favourite novel of all time (along with Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc,.) and in my humble opinion Stephen King's finest work.
Cheers, The Flashing a Blade, England (UK)

One of the nicer books of his, plus I love the idea of time travel

...when you go flashing Blade, what color is your long raincoat---and dare I ask the size of yer ummmm..."blade"?.....
The Flashing Blade was a TV SERIES IN THE 1970's (about a swordsman). I pinched the name as my football/soccer team (in England), Sheffield United are nicknamed the "Blades" ( because Sheffield was famous for it's steel industry).
Boring answer but that is the true story behind it. I don't get out much!

Thanks all for your kind welcome. On the basis I really liked 11.22.63, but found the ending to Under the Dome a bit too weird, what else would you guys recommend?
The Flashing Blade

Welcome.

If you have not read The Green Mile, you should.
And you could never go wrong with Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption.

I actually welcome the tears. Growing up, my Grandfather and Father were such hard-asses. No crying allowed for boys/men. I did shed a few tears when I read 11/22/63. It was awesome story telling and I don't feel bad about crying. Stephen King writes some beautiful stories and I'm happy to be able to experience them completely. Thanks Stevo! :) Where's my manners? Thank you Mr. King.

I Have read Shawshank but not The Green Mile - will see if I can get it on Audible (I tend to listen in the car rather than read as that is my best undisturbed time!). Thanks for the recommendation.
