I don't have a specific recommendation, but then I really like all of the books SK has written. Also, each person has a list of favorites that varies from the next. Just choose anything...you can't really go wrong. It's Stephen King!

King is the only author who makes me cry regularly. Some books that really brought on the waterworks.....

- Duma Key (read it during a very bad time in my life-- the themes of redemption and saving oneself struck a cord with me)

As others have said, there are many to choose from and what some think are great are lower on the list for other folks.
Since you like listening in the car i have to recommend Needful Things read by Mr. King himself. It's a treasure.
