Newbie to the forum here. I've been a King fan since the late seventies (around fourth grade or so) when I read The Dead Zone. Now, forty years later, I read On Writing every year or so to stay sharp and have books of my own out around the world. But it was Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Howard Waldrop, Louis L'Amour, Frank Herbert and dozens of other storytellers who influenced me to the point that I had to go from story junkie to story dealer. King's stories gripped me like few others and have carried me along for about four decades now. So I've finally showed up here at the Forum. I'm looking forward to hanging out with other fans. I'm particularly fond of The Stand and The Dark Tower books but I've never disliked a trip through King's Imagination Forest. Howdy all!
