Behind you
It has been 2 weeks that I can not get into my mail.

They ask me to type the most random questions. That actually are very hurtful.

No, I do not have a kids nickname... Thank you very much for reminding me that I can not have children...

No, I do not know my fathers last job..... He has gone to the crossing over 29 years ago.

No, I do not know , or to tell you how long my hair is...

I call and call.... and I get the automated voices tell me to keep on hold, maybe will answer you..

OOPS MODS... Maybe this should be transferred to the Rant Thread....

err

I will periodically have trouble getting into my Outlook account and when that is happening I'll come here and try to use smilies and I get hijacked by some warning about an over heating hard drive. When this happens I'll go into the add/remove programs file and I will invariably find things in there that seem to have piggy-backed on legitimate downloads. If you see something in there that is questionable or if the download date is recent, but you know you haven't, get rid of it.

I really hate the security questions that many companies use. They give you questions that can have different answers at different times (like: what is your favorite movie). Or, you can't remember exactly how you answered the question when you set up the account. I can't get into my Blue Cross account right now because I can't answer the question of where I was born. ;-D I know it sounds weird but I can't remember if I put the city and state or if I abbreviated the state or just put the city and whether I used uppercase letters or all lower case letters when I set the account up. I tried three times and failed all three times and then got locked out. I can't get anyone at the company to help me. I've wasted hours on the phone and get the same old, "hold on, I'll transfer you" only to get transferred back to the robo system. :mad-new::mad-new::mad-new:

I didn't know they had a rant thread. I better not ask where it is. I tend to lose control of my rants too fast. So I try to think positive. IDK why it's so difficult to do. I have all kinds of gratitudes, but that doesn't mean I don't also have a few complaints.
My daughter's nickname is Butterfly Girl. Her dad named her that. Also Bunny Lover.
My bank did that with asking about my first car's color, which how am I supposed to remember. I'm not sure if it really was my car anyway because the doctor I lived with paid the insurance on it. He had lower insurance rates, so I paid his instead of my own. But I paid for repairs, gas and other things with my own money.

If I had it to do over I'd not choose Yahoo, but not for reasons of difficulty using. I set up a Gmail acct to use with such people as my employer: it's a more professional sounding email address. At first I couldn't figure out how to use Gmail! They've either changed it or I've changed since then, but I'd even asked my employer to stop contacting me via that acct and start using the unprofessional sounding one (which I was grateful didn't start with "blunthead" or something equally obtuse).

Mostly I don't like the fact that I have to provide my password so frequently. I realize this is in part for my security and perhaps due to successful hack jobs. But it also makes me wonder when I'm forced to change my password at Yahoo or elsewhere: along with the difficulty it creates in terms of remembering all the passwords one might collect, it irritates my paranoia about releasing secret info, such as password choices. I dunno about anyone else but I don't tend to use very many different ones.
