So, I'm putting it here. I've been an avid SK reader since my early 20s, never imagining that a King - like story would emerge in my own family. Put simply, my dad who cared for my invalid mom for over 50 years, offed her. It was the perfect storm. No one believes me except my husband, my brother and my daughter. I relive the details of it almost daily and it haunts me like the space in your mouth after a tooth extraction. You keep putting your tongue there where the tooth should be. It's weird to put this here I know but, I thought what better place huh? I keep thinking my father is somewhere between Delores Claiborne and Annie Wilkes...sighhhh...it feels good to get it out.
