I live in southern California, have been reading SK since I was about 13 (I'm 25). I love all of his work. Right now I'm in the middle of Under the Dome (pg 547), and there was an inconsistency that bothers me. Maybe most people don't care, but I like guns and this is pretty glaring to me: when Barbie is arrested at the hospital (pg 522), Junior Rennie bumps Chief Randolph's hand and his Beretta fires, almost shooting Rusty Everett in the foot. Then, on page 545, (which takes place on the same day) Andy Sanders tries to grab a Glock from Randolph's holster.
Glocks and Berettas are both common service pistols, but are two very different weapons. The Chief probably wouldn't have both, or he at least wouldn't switch them out for no reason, especially when he's been as busy as he keeps mentioning.
I don't mean to complain, I still love the story. I just wanted to bring that to attention. It should've been noticed. I still have a long way to go, so maybe it has to do with something later. Kinda doubt it though. Either way, I'm interested to see how the story turns out.
