I ignore the Causer.

I am so Sorry i lost my Temper.

I Hope you can Forgive me .

Sorry
Oops, I think I just answered you in another thread.

Thank you Frank, for coming and making things right, it's a very hard thing to do and not everybody does it... so we appreciate it more when it happens.

The ignore feature is a wondrous thing on this site and it's wonderful when folks use it when needed.
Thank you again... and don't stress, like Danie said, we all lose it once in a while, but you should feel proud of how you dealt with it afterwards.

Well...I didn't follow the thread that led to this so I am ignorant...which is generally what I shoot for. All I can say is I don't want to see your sunny side, I want to see all of you. Warts and all. I think a lot of folks on this site want the truth without judgment. All the best osnafrank. Sometimes you just have to say "wtf?" as this world unfolds into a more absurd reality. Myself...I am hoping it's a cyclical thing!

The discussion touched a very understandable tender spot for you. I think most of us have such a "no, don't go there" point. Mine... well. Let's not go there either.

No need to worry. Friends understand, shrug, and move on. Let's go.
Absolutely agree... some subjects ought to be approached with respect and understanding in my view.

When I saw this thread earlier, with only the first post, I assumed it was some weird joke that I just didn't "get". Which should give an indication of my opinion of you osnafrank I didn't figure you had done anything that would lead to you feeling a need to give a serious apoplogy.

Hi Frank,
I really enjoy your posts and comments. I really love the insight you give me into a country I've never seen in person.
All of us lose it now and then when we feel passionately about something. Don't sweat it, you're good people.

I will also say this.....I also really like the guy you were conversing with......now that doesn't mean that I agree with him, but since I'm not often in the hot topics, I do see another side of him that is genuinely kind....and sometimes, can even be fun.....I just refuse to talk politics with him ♥

My brother is currently visiting our relatives in Germany. My mother is from Bamberg. She speaks in a low German dialect. There are certain subjects I never bring up in conversation. If she brings them up, then fine, but I don't. There are some books I would never leave in plain view in our house because they are triggers for her.

I'm just curious as to the way 'Jaja' is said. Is it in a dismissive tone, as 'Yeah, yeah' (subtext: shut up about it/get that sh!t away from me) would be in English? Is it drawn out (i.e. Jaa, Jaa)?
I ask because I'm pretty sure my German (by birth, upbringing and half-parentage) cousin has used it on me, and while I've not taken it as 'Yes' or any form of agreement, I was in the dark as to what the actual meaning was. (So thanks, osnafrank, for expanding my education, and wait 'til I talk to her again... ;))

I also thought OP had nothing to apologize for. I've been to other websites where people who should've apologized never did. Websites that were technically "moderated" but were still highly toxic. Every forum has its own rules, tolerance level and what they deem to be acceptable at their site. I've seen people get banned for no good reason and people who should've been banned got away with "murder" and kept on posting like nothing happened. Some people are very sensitive. Other people are not. Just assume most people are somewhere in between. Message boards are made up of real people who have feelings.
