Any job news?
....I keep putting out good vibes!....they're from my gut-and considering the size of my food baby Herschel-those puppies are ricocheting off the troposphere....
Things are starting to happen for me. Thank you for the good vibes being sent out. I did have an interview at a warehouse for an 'order picker'. I had 4 (yes FOUR!) people interview me at the same time and it was intense. I got called back to test on how I would 'pick' a couple of orders. Passed that part. Got offered the position on the contingency that I pass the physical. Passed the eye test and the drug screening. Failed the actual physical test due to me whacked out thyroid. The test consisted of picking up 25 lb. box off of a shelf, turning and placing it on the ground then picking it back up and placing it back on the shelf fives times in a row, Then the same thing only this time with a 50 lb. box, then onto a 75lb. box. Then you had to do the same thing except instead of putting the box down and then back on a shelf, you had to pick it up and walk 25 feet, turn and walk back and put the box back on the shelf. My heart rate went sky high because of my thyroid. So, needless to say I wasn't offered the job. Something will come along soon. I can feel it.

My brother was hired for a union construction job and didn't even have to do anything like this. All he had to do was have the blood work, check his hearing and eyesight. He couldn't believe that the company I applied at make potential employees do these things.

That sounds a bit extreme. Sounds like you were applying to be an astronaut. =D

I'm sending out vibes. I hope you get something soon.

Wow! that's a hard test. I'm shocked they would require that. I'd bet that's not a job you'd enjoy one bit. Movin' on and up then! You'll find something!

I know you will find what you are looking for. My husband found work 5 weeks after his company moved to South Africa. All good vibes. What's for you won't pass you by.
Hoping for a positive change here fast.
Good luck but first enjoy the company of Marsha, SK and all that comes with that
..:)
Thank you!!

Go into your next interview and say, "I'm here to improve your profit margin & chew bubblegum! And I'm all out of bubblegum."

Hi All! Just wanted everyone to know that I am now employed! I started yesterday at the huge Caterpillar warehouse here in Spokane as an order picker. It's a Monday through Friday 6am to 230pm job. I finally have a 'normal' job! It's been a long 5 months without a job and I was truly starting to think that I wasn't going to find anything before the new year and my funds were dwindling down quickly. It's going to take me a little while to catch on as there is some technology involved and I'm not the quickest on picking that avenue of work up, but I know once I get it down I'll be good. Thanks again for all of your well wishes and good thoughts! They certainly kept me going!

I saw the title of the thread and thought, "Oh no, he quit already" ;-D Then I realized it was a continuation of the old thread.

Congratulations on the job!!!

Thank you! Tomorrow is actually going to be my first day picking the orders by myself. Anyone got a valium? ;;D
