Nice job, girl! Very pretty. I botched my hair more than once trying to do something at home.

I love it danie - Sunnified!

not_nadine So glad your job is going well!

Thankees, Holly - I know you have been looking out for me!

Our first family portrait. My sister cut her bangs up at 5 years old. She wanted to look good for the picture.

I was about three. looks great, we were in sailor suits for some reason. She is smiling hair cut to there and choppy.

Oil portrait it came back.
Then she blackened my tooth out with a pencil.

And it hung on the wall for years like that.

I have very dark mostly flat hair. Once when I was 20ish my friend gave me a very bad home perm. So bad we decided maybe if we colored it light brown, it might look better, so within a couple of hours of the bad perm, I colored my hair. Oh Lord, Sunny. The color just grabbed. It looked like fur - black lab fur with reddish streaks. It was awful. I went to my stylist crying and he just pretty much had to scalp me. Thank God we didn't have camera phones in 1989.

School picture day. Third grade. My sister is 12 years older than me. She got me ready for it.

I was aqua netted, helmet headed and for sure the only kid that had this do, wearing a orange leather dress with with a black turtleneck.

My flips were bigger though.

When I was in high school, I dyed my hair jet black (not knowing at the time, to buy a box shade at least two shades lighter than what you want the desired color to be). My friend's dad told me I looked a wh*re and other people were calling me Snow White. I went to a stylist for professional color removal - man, was that an ugly process.

I've worn my hair almost that dark for many years now as an adult. If people would call me those names now, I'd say "thank you!" :)

Okay, Sunny!

I have naturally curly hair so of course I wanted stick straight hair. (Idiot.) I was...12 years old? I would apply the product to straighten my hair and it never was stick straight but *better*. I did it just as directed but (there's always a BUT) I didn't wait the six weeks between. (There was a school dance!) I applied the product and waited. It started to smell bad and my scalp was burning. I started to wash it out but it was snapping off! My hair was melted and SNAPPING off. I rinsed if as best I could and cried out for my Momma. She came and gasped. Why? I looked in the mirror and my hair was orange. Bright carrot orange. And melted. She called her stylist and at 8-9pm I was at the stylists home. Long story short (too late) I was sporting a Mia Farrow cut.
