Hello fellow King readers!

I had no idea this existed until this morning. I am happy (and relieved) to say it feels a bit like finding a place where you should have been all along. It feels like coming home.

My name is Jessica and I will be 37 next month. I am a mother of four and also a college student in the process of earning my Associate's Degree in Information Systems Management, specializing in Computer Information Technology, then I'll be moving on to my Bachelor's. After I am all done with that I would like to focus more on writing.

I have been reading Stephen King for about 25+ years now. I pretty much exclusively read SK. I tried to get into other authors, but never really could after reading the King. Nobody can get through to my weird and dark side like he does. Poe would be the closest after King. Then after him I guess I would go with Hitchcock. But with that being said, I love me some horror movies (I was raised on them) so naturally when I got my hands on Stephen King around 11 years old I was immediately hooked.

I love to write, and although I haven't wrote any actual stories (mostly just scribble ideas and random thoughts in a journal), I do plan to. My brain is bursting with ideas, and one day I will get some of it on paper. My dream is to write and publish at least one book before I come to the clearing at the end of my path.

Glad to have found this forum and I am excited to chat and get to know some of you! :)

Hi Jessica, and welcome! Have you read On Writing yet? It's a very helpful sK book for new as well as experienced writers.

What are some of your favorites sK books?

Congrats on your educational success and plans! Not the easiest lifestyle with four kids, I can only imagine.

I'm a fellow Hitchcock fan, as well as sK, and know whereof you hail.

Keep posting!
