Frank, a character in the novel?RB = Richard Bachman
Frank is the real name of Blunthead. Then someone (and I can't remember who) posted the RB thing when they quoted Bluntie's post about how 'SK (King) left the ending up to the readers judgement' and they were jokingly reminding Bluntie that the novel is written by 'RB'- Richard Bachman.Frank, a character in the novel?
On a lighter note, this book was turned into a television series called Sex In The City.
I'm glad someone appreciated my post.
Me too...it is my most favorite SK book...you have good taste my friendI love the Long Walk. Does anyone know, is there a filmed version of it?? Thanks. It walks off the page...so real...

yeah, it just comes so alive, love the way it is fleshed out, and so chilling. Ray seems so real, Stebbins, McVries, etc. In real life, would people really sign up for such torture....I reckon they would.Me too...it is my most favorite SK book...you have good taste my friend
Without a doubt.yeah, it just comes so alive, love the way it is fleshed out, and so chilling. Ray seems so real, Stebbins, McVries, etc. In real life, would people really sign up for such torture....I reckon they would.
Did you know there's a zombie in this book? One of the boys is killed and then shows up later on towards the end. I don't remember which one tho, sorry. Someone here should know the name?ah, thanks, that has enlightened me. the ending is ambiguous isn't it.
A zombie?? I have totally missed that and i have read it several times.Did you know there's a zombie in this book? One of the boys is killed and then shows up later on towards the end. I don't remember which one tho, sorry. Someone here should know the name?
I didn't mean a real zombie, Kurben, say sorry. King and his editor didn't catch that one of the boys is killed off early in the book but somehow is included in a conversation later in the novel. I'm going to have to pull out my The Shape Under The Sheet aka The Complete Stephen King Encyclopedia to see what this kid's name is.A zombie?? It's my favorite 'Bachman' book!If this ever gets turned into a movie I'll be first in line at the theater, this has long been one of my all-time favorite of King's.
Got it. I guess my feeble attempts at small jokes are not any good. Everybody (Flake in another thread recently) seems to think i'm dead serious all the time. I only meant that i usually catch such things but i didnt this time.I didn't mean a real zombie, Kurben, say sorry. No need for you to apologize here, my friend. My 'say sorry' in my first sentence is ME apologizing to YOU. I consider you to be one of the smartest folken here on the SKMB. You have amazed me with your VAST knowledge of books, both fiction and non-fiction. That you are able to read in both your native language and in English astounds me! I only can read English. I am in awe of you!!!Got it. I guess my feeble attempts at small jokes are not any good. Everybody (Flake in another thread recently) seems to think i'm dead serious all the time.
