I was wondering if The Long Walk novel has been made into a film for TV over in the States?

Frank, a character in the novel?
Frank is the real name of Blunthead. Then someone (and I can't remember who) posted the RB thing when they quoted Bluntie's post about how 'SK (King) left the ending up to the readers judgement' and they were jokingly reminding Bluntie that the novel is written by 'RB'- Richard Bachman.

Did you know there's a zombie in this book? One of the boys is killed and then shows up later on towards the end. I don't remember which one tho, sorry. Someone here should know the name?

I didn't think it was one of the boys, but just like a ghost figure, or a figment of Ray's tired and shattered mind. How can anyone win such a crazy contest anyway, it is just a march to death...I read somewhere it is a metaphor for the waste and meaningless of war. Ray won, but by then it didn't mean anything, he'd seen such horror and he saw himself as never before...that is how I read it.

I didn't mean a real zombie, Kurben, say sorry. King and his editor didn't catch that one of the boys is killed off early in the book but somehow is included in a conversation later in the novel. I'm going to have to pull out my The Shape Under The Sheet aka The Complete Stephen King Encyclopedia to see what this kid's name is.

Got it. I guess my feeble attempts at small jokes are not any good. Everybody (Flake in another thread recently) seems to think i'm dead serious all the time. I only meant that i usually catch such things but i didnt this time.

No need for you to apologize here, my friend. My 'say sorry' in my first sentence is ME apologizing to YOU. I consider you to be one of the smartest folken here on the SKMB. You have amazed me with your VAST knowledge of books, both fiction and non-fiction. That you are able to read in both your native language and in English astounds me! I only can read English. I am in awe of you!!!
PS- I think you have a great sense of humor!!!
