Love this channel.

Not all the programs, but my favorites are:

(1) Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda
(2) Unusual Suspects (always twists and turns)
(3) Dateline on ID (reruns, but, they are normally very good)
(4) Web of Lies (some of these are extremely good; and informative!)

ID Discovery has a bunch of channels under their umbrella... all the various Discovery channels, OWN, the Animal Planet channels, Science Channel, TLC, Velocity, American Heroes Channel, and more. American Heroes Channel is the channel, out of hundreds available to me on cable, that I watch most often.

The only show I watch on the original Discovery Channel is DEADLIEST CATCH

We just recently discovered (in the last several months) the ID Discovery Channel (I'm hooked, hubby gets tired of it after a while)

I like the National Geographic channel also.

I did not realize the OWN channel was part of the Discovery channels.

If you watch that much, you should go to ID Discovery website and sign up for the "ID Addict of the Month" for a chance to win a walk-on role.

Yeah I saw that! I'd be too embarrassed and nervous! I'd like to play some psycho jealous maniac girlfriend on one of the shows though!
I can make a face like Satan!

We get ID over here, too (along with CI, which used to be known as the Crime and Investigation Channel/Network). I'll happily sit in front of either of them for hours (though CI tends to have new stuff in autumn and endless repeats through the rest of the year).
ID generally tends to show American and Canadian stuff. It never ceases to amaze me how inventive North Americans are when it comes to killing each other. ;)
I can't really point to any favourite shows as such, though. I'll generally decide on a case-by-case basis, whatever it is (though I tend to watch more FBI Files than anything).

I don't get how you love someone and one to kill them. Weird!
I mean if I love someone, I'm going to want to kill the person they love, not them!

well just eliminate the competition.
Of course, in reality, I'm of the mind that if you don't want me, why would I want you?
I just don't get wanting someone to love you that doesn't. I guess it's some sort of ego/sociopathic thing

Possibly. The other side of that kind of thinking, though, is that there's nothing to say that the object of your affections would stay with or turn to you if the 'competition' had been taken out of the frame. For the types who commit these crimes, killing the person they 'love' is probably a way of gaining or keeping a sense of ownership, but in those cases it's generally not the actual person that they are in love with, just one aspect of them or maybe even a fantasy of what the killer thinks that person is or ought to be.

Well that kind of "love" is really a "control" thing.
People that can't take rejection OR put too much of their minds, thoughts into the one person (obsession)

I have the reverse problem. If I find I like someone too much, I'm kinda psycho like that, so, I have learned how to totally shut down emotionally.
I have been to like 12-14 psychotherapists about this but they have not clue on how to fix it.

Well, pretty clearly they've either got problems or something goes a bit haywire. Actual love also inspires people to do very strange things (up to and beyond the point where it can't really be called love anymore but obsession, as you say).

So, the more you like a person, the colder you're likely to be towards them in order to avoid being/seeming obsessive?
I don't think that's something that can be fixed, though I think that - to a degree at least - we're all prone to obsessive behaviour, especially when we really like someone and want to be really liked back. There's nothing wrong with it provided rejection wouldn't be an issue. Well, unless you get people doing the 'Overly-Attached Girlfriend' thing and going over the line between kinda cute and downright creepy/scary.
